Blue Flag The flat beach is separated by dunes from the lagoon of salgados. To the west stretches the Praia Grande until Armacao de Pera.

Salgados: Natural Reserve
The salt marshes near the Ria de Armação and the Praia Grande are a natural reserve for many bird species. A bordwalk leads through the area, offering great opportunities for birdwatching.
