Algarve - A variety of waves for surfers of all levels |
|
The Surf Experience was founded in 1993 and is located in the south west of Portugal. The Algarve is right in front of AFRICA! This gives us a good year round climate and more sun shine days then most of the rest of Europe. Water temp almost never drops below 16 C....in WINTER! For sure we get rain at this time of the year, but generally autumn and spring means better waves and less people.
Situated near the renowned, deceptively quaint town of Lagos in the southern Algarve, The Surf Experience promises you a surfing holiday unrivaled anywhere in Europe. Its a unique taste of the surfer lifestyle!

MARLON WINS WQS PENICHE
With a decisive return to form Marlon Wins the WQS event at Supertubes Peniche, the first stop on the 2007 Asp Europe Championships, putting Marlon at the top of the Eu ASP rankings. Marlon's recent injury problems and long periods out of the water make winning in Peniche a welcome return to the podium and a massive boost to the Hulk's confidence. The final was held in slowly dropping 2/3 Ft conditions but with contestable waves still rolling into supertubes. Surfing opposite finalists PABLO GUTIERREZ (ESP), REUBYN ASH (GBR) and PABLO SOLAR (ESP) Marlon posted 2 good scores early on to take the lead, but had to fight wave for wave to finally be paid off with a 1st place in the dying seconds of the final.
