Situated in the heart of the Vilamoura seaside resort, this Frank Pennink designed parkland style layout is one of the oldest in the region and renowned all over the golfing world. Often described as the Grande Dame of Algarve courses, the Old Course meanders between impressive pine trees, the main challenge of this traditional course.

This conventional Par-72 Millennium course opened in the year 2000, although the completely refurbished back nine holes - formerly part of the 27-hole Laguna Course - had been completed in their original configuration a decade before.

The Pinhal Golf Course opened in 1976 and was originally designed by the English architect, Frank Pennink. In 1985, the famous American architect, Robert Trent Jones, introduced several modifications. The first nine holes of the Pinhal Course wind through umbrella pine-woods, while the back nine, returning gently uphill, move through terrain that opens to magnificent sea views.

The fabulous Vila Sol golf course has already been the host venue of the Portuguese Open twice since its inauguration in 1991. The course, which in the meantime has been expanded to 27 holes, boasts high environmental standards and a professional golf academy.
