Vilamoura Marina
The golf courses and the international marina are the economic and social centre of this resort, located in the Golden Triangle of the Algarve, next to Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago. At the upper right corner you can see the beach Praia de Vilamoura, stretching from the marina to the neighbouring town Quarteira.

The fabulous Vila Sol golf course has already been the host venue of the Portuguese Open twice since its inauguration in 1991. The course, which in the meantime has been expanded to 27 holes, boasts high environmental standards and a professional golf academy.
Vilamoura: The Old Course
A true golf lgend in the Algarve. Situated in the heart of the Vilamoura seaside resort, this Frank Pennink designed parkland style layout is one of the oldest in the region and renowned all over the golfing world. Often described as the Grande Dame of Algarve courses, the Old Course meanders between impressive pine trees, the main challenge of this traditional course. Opened already in 1969, the course was completely refurbished in 1996, when several improvements were introduced and a new clubhouse built.
Vilamoura: Pinhal Golf Course
The Pinhal Golf Course opened in 1976 and was originally designed by the English architect, Frank Pennink. In 1985, the famous American architect, Robert Trent Jones, introduced several modifications. The first nine holes of the Pinhal Course wind through umbrella pine-woods, while the back nine, returning gently uphill, move through terrain that opens to magnificent sea views.
Vilamoura: Laguna Golf Course
The golf course Laguna is set in a flat and water rich terrain west of Vilamoura, often exposed to challenging winds from the Atlantice Ocean, crossed by the creek Ribeira de Quarteira.
Vilamoura: Millennium Golf Course
This conventional Par-72 Millennium course opened in the year 2000, although the completely refurbished back nine holes - formerly part of the 27-hole Laguna Course - had been completed in their original configuration a decade before.

The Casino, situated a few minutes of walking distance from the marina, is one of only three of its kind in the entire Algarve, operated by the Solverde group.
Vilamoura: Cerro da Vila
The archaeological station of Cerro de Vila is situated on the northern corner of Vilamoura’s marina and is no more than 10 metres above sea level. Although the excavated area only covers 2-3 ha, objects from 8 centuries have already be discovered.
