Volta ao Algarve

The "Volta ao Algarve" is the most important cycling event in Portugal. It will take place already for the 45st. time in 2019. The race, part of the UCI Europe Tour, is used by many professional teams to prepare for the racing season.
- 20.02. Stage 1: Portimão – Lagos - 199,1 km
- 21.02. Stage 2: Almodôvar – Fóia - 187,4 km
- 22.02. Stage 3: Lagoa – Lagoa - 20,3 km (CRI)
- 23.02. Stage 4: Albufeira – Tavira - 198,3 km
- 24.02. Stage 5: Faro – Malhão - 173,5 km
The Algarve Granfondo Cofidis is the mass participation event of the Volta ao Algarve. The 2019 edition of the Algarve Granfondo Cofidis will take place in Loulé on February 24. The amateur cyclists can be part of the Volta ao Algarve with their participation in the Algarve Granfondo Cofidis. They can choose between two options:
- Granfondo: 110 km and 2200 meters of accured climbing
- Mediofondo: 60 km and 1100 meters of accured climbing
