5.º Wine Festival in Nave do Barão on March 23, 2019
On March 23, 2019 the association “Os Barões” is presenting the second edition of its wine festival, where well know regional wineries (Adega da Tôr, Adega do Cantor, Quinta da Malaca, Monte da Casteleja, Monte do Além, ...) and wine growers will be present. At the same time local artisans will demonstrate their handicraft related to the art of wine growing and making.
The highlight of the programme is the tasting and award giving of the wines presented by the local wine growers of the municipality of Loulé, to which Nave de Barão belongs. The hamlet in the Algarve's Barrocal region boasts of a long tradition of viniculture In the charter of Loulé granted by King Afonso III in 1266 Nave do Barão was recognized as "village (Vila)".
