Drawing on the experience gained over several years cooperating with different companies in organising activities for tourist entertainment, the founder, an expert in outdoor sports and native to Serra de Monchique and thus a connoisseur of the region, has aimed to create, since 1999, a local company that would promote the extraordinary environmental potential the region has to offer, with quality and safety being fully assured.
Safety is of prime importance when organising sporting activities. In offering such activities, AlternativTour is responsible for providing the necessary conditions for them to be practised safely.
Our instructors are qualified and experienced in the activities they supervise. They are equipped with a First Aid Box and can give First Aid if and when necessary.
We have done a cartographic survey of all the areas where the different activities take place in terms of access, level of danger and remoteness and have established an evacuation route for any potential wounded, in cooperation with the local fire department that has an all-road ambulance.
All equipment acquired is strictly selected in terms of quality and resistance.
Attention: Certain activities require the use of specific equipment recommended by the different associations.
Insurance is in compliance with Decree-Law 108/02 of 16th April.
