À Eira do Mel is located in the most south-western corner of the Algarve at the outskirt of Vila do Bispo. The restaurant, residing in an old farmhouse adjacent to a former threshing place is offering an excellent cuisine in an causy atmosphere.The surrounding area is called the "Granary of the Algarve". The owner, José António Pinheiro, takes advante of that environment, using only fresh local products. The fish and seafood is daily obtained from the nearby market in Sagres with its rich choice.
The chief, a member of the "Slow Food Association" has refined the traditional Portuguese cuisine and offers to his guest dainty dishes in accordance with this philosophy.
