| The place Caldas de Monchique, located few kilometres south of Monchique, is known since the Roman Empire for its sulphuric thermal springs, coming to the surface with a constant temperature of 32°C. The spa was very popular at the end of the 19th. Century among the noble society and is today of contemplative peace. |
