Fóia – Monchique MTB Trail

The mountain biking trails are essentially sporting events and the Serra de Monchique undoubtedly provides the ideal location for mountain biking. It is impossible not to be impressed by the scenery and particular weather conditions the Serra has to offer. Thus, throughout the trail, which covers roads and rural pathways, we will stop at points of interest to take a close-up look at rare species of bushes and trees (some of which are centenary) and to observe ancient customs and techniques in farming and cork and wood handling.
We have chosen a green lush area for the picnic, which lies in the shade of a great Shadow tree, next to the clear flowing waters of a stream, the springs of which are just a few hundred metres away.
Attention: Clothing and footwear are of the client’s responsibility, however, in order to practise the different activities comfortably and safely, we recommend the use of the appropriate equipment.
Equipment: Mountain bikes with a 28” aluminium frame, 26” wheels, V-brakes, Shimano 21 speed gears, gel saddle, helmet and gloves.
