Luz de Tavira is a little agricultural town located on the road N125 between Tavira and Fuzeta.
The parish church has a remarkable Manueline portal, an architectural style only to be found in Portugal. The Manueline, or Portuguese late Gothic is the sumptuous, composite Portuguese style of architectural ornamentation of the first decades of the 16th century, incorporating maritime elements.
