The golf courses Oceānico Laguna, Millennium, Old Course, Pinhal and Victoria have contributed to the reputation of Vilamoura as a world class golf destination in the Algarve, Portugal. |

The famous Old Course was designed by the English Golf architect Frank Pennink. Opened already in 1969, the course was completely refurbished in 1996, when several improvements were introduced and a new clubhouse built.
The course is renowned for the way the designer skilfully utilized the natural contours of the land, maintaining the native vegetation, consisting mainly of pine woods. This is one of the courses in Portugal that will always stand out in the memory of visiting golfers.
Since more than 30 years the resort of Vilamoura, located at the Atlantic coast between Vale do Lobo and Pine Cliffs, has contributed to establish the legendary image of the Algarve as one of Europes leading golf destinations with strong commitment to protect the natural environment. With the inauguration of the Victoria Course in 2005 Vilamoura offers five 18-holes courses of different character. |
