The Theatre Lethes, an architectural jewel of the 19th century, located in the old town of Faro, opened in 1845 and was expanded to its actual capacity of 621 seats already in 1860. Since the inauguration of a modern building near the Forum Algarve it is used by local artists, mainly for music performances.
