Rota Vicentina: Circular Routes
Short circular routes to discover the Natural Park of the Costa Vicentina, the western coast of the Algarve
Rota Vicentina is a network of walking trails in the south-western area of Portugal, totalling 400 km to walk, along the most beautiful and best preserved coastline of Southern Europe. Comprising the Historical Way, the Fishermen’s Trail and several Circular Routes, proposes a unique experience of two worlds, between a living and authentic rural culture and a surprisingly wild coastline – fully within the Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina.
These are short routes with start and finishing points right in the same place, so that it becomes even easier to discover the pleausure of walking in the Sw of Portugal, without transfers, complications and with a duration of just half a day or less. You have now different circular routes to choose from, that complete the classic trails: the Historical Way and the Fishermen’s Trail:
- The dunes of Almograve (8 km)
- S. Luís Gardens (3,5 km)
- Troviscais to Mira (11,5 km)
- Santa Clara Routes (10 und 13 km)
- Hills of Carrapateira (13,5 km)
- From Bordeira to the sea (13,5 km)
- Endiabrada and the hidden lakes (16 km)
