Silves Golf

Location and access

The Silves golf course is situated inland in the western Algarve near the national road EN124-1 from Lagoa to Silves, set in a peaceful landscape against the backdrop of the mountains of the Serra de Monchique. From the historic city of Silves it is a 6 km drive, and also from the exit of the A22 motorway.

Golf course

The compact course with a length of 5,615 m was opened in 2001. It is set in the fertile Barrocal landscape with palm trees and olive groves, cork and citrus farms. Most holes offer spectacular mountain views towards the impressive Serra de Monchique.

Although a classic example of man-sized parkland golf, it is anything but the proverbial walk in the park.  Silves golf course encourages and rewards attacking play and is a relentless test in precision shots. Low handicaps will find it a serious challenge to come in under par, but high handicaps (with concentration) will be able to enjoy their round.

The club house situated in the centre of the course offers everything a golfer may need before or after an enjoyable round of golf.
