Algoz is a rural village (vila) in the municipality (concelho) of Silves within the district of Faro (Algarve).
The village of Algoz is situated north of the motorway A22 within the fertile Barrocal landscape. For several years the local vineyards have enjoyed a renaissance using up to the minute, state-of-the art winery techniques.You can find the produce of the vineyards in many good restaurants and super markets everywhere in the Algarve.
The zoo and leisure park Krazy World is situated nearby. It is well known for providing the opportunity to interact with several species of animals.
The parish Algoz e Tunes was established in 2013 by combining Algoz and the nearby village of Tunes.
