Surf camps in the Algarve

The Algarve's Atlantic coast offers all year long ideal conditions for all kind of surf activities: wave, kite and wind surfing, body boarding and standup paddling

The Atlantic coast in the South-West of the Iberian Peninsula with a length of almost 1.000 km is one of the most sought-after surf grounds in the world. Nazaré, a fishing village north of the capital Lisbon, has recently become a legendary spot in the world of big wave surfing when Hawaiian Garrett McNamara set a new official world record in November 2011 surfing a wave of 23,8 m. Back in January 2013, Garrett successfully rode a wave estimated to be 34 m tall. In the Algarve the Costa Vicentina, the unspoilt western coast, offers great spots for wave surfing. The southern Algarvian coast between Sagres and the Rio Guadiana is more popular with kite surfers and has excellent conditions for surf beginners during the long summer season.
