During recent years most of the original beach bars on the Algarve beaches have been replaced by modern but impersonal constructions. Last Sunday we were lucky to find one of these old places following the recommendation of a Portuguese friend.
The beach restaurant Rei dos Mares is situated next to the hotel Inatel in Albufeira on the Praia do Inatel, leaning against the yellow limestone rocks. It is a great place to taste fresh seafood and the catch of the day and to enjoy the genuine ambience and the unique smell of grilled fish.
